The Macintosh (/ˈmækɨntɒʃ/ mak-in-tosh),[1]marketed as Mac, is a line of personal computers (PCs) designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. It is targeted mainly at the home, education, and creative professional markets, and includes the descendants of the original iMac, the entry-level Mac mini desktop model, the Mac Protower graphics workstation, and theMacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops. ItsXserve server was discontinued on January 31, 2011.[2]
Apple Inc.'s then-chairman Steve Jobsintroduced the first Macintosh on January 24, 1984. It became the first commercially successful personal computer to feature amouse and a graphical user interface, rather than a command-line interface.[3]The Apple II saw success through the end of the decade, though popularity dropped in the 1990s as the personal computer market shifted toward the "Wintel" platform: IBM PC compatible machines running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windowswith an Intel processor.[4] In 1998, Apple consolidated its multiple consumer-level desktop models into the all-in-one iMac, which proved to be a sales success and saw the brand revitalized.
Production of the Mac is based on avertical integration model. Apple facilitates all aspects of its hardware and creates its own operating system[5] that is pre-installed on all Mac computers, unlike most IBM PC compatibles, where multiple sellers create and integrate hardware intended to run another company's operating software. Apple exclusively produces Mac hardware, choosing internal systems, designs, and prices. Apple uses third party components, however, such as graphics subsystems from Nvidia, Intel, and AMD. Current MacCPUs use Intel's X86-64 architecture. The earliest models (1984–1994) usedMotorola's 68k, and models from 1994 until 2006 used the AIM alliance's PowerPC. Apple also develops the operating system for the Mac, OS X, currently on version 10.8 "Mountain Lion". The modern Mac, like other personal computers, is capable of running alternative operating systems such as Linux, FreeBSD, and, in the case of Intel-based Macs, Microsoft Windows. However, Apple does not license OS X for use on non-Apple computers.

Sistem Gerak (Kelas 8)

Sistem Gerak 

 Manusia dan hewan dapat berpindah Tempat dengan cara bergerak. untuk dapat bergerak, pada tubuh harus berlangsung kerja sama antara tulang dan otot.
Otot melekat pada rangka dan menghubungkan tulang satu dengan yang lain maupun dengan kulit. oto dapat berkontraksi dan berelaksasi agar dapat menggerakkan tulang dan kulit. Otot disebut alat gerak aktif. Tulang diseut alat gerak pasif. Agar Dapat bergerak, tubuh harus memiliki propulsi , support , dan stabillitas .
Propulsi adalah penyebab terjadinya gerak dan tujuan gerak, Misalnya beberapa jenis Rangsang tertentu yang meyebabkan tubuh bergerak/pindah tempat.
Suport adalah aktivitas tubuh untuk melawan/mengatasi tempat hidupnya, misalnya : Hidup di air dengan berenang atau di darat dengan berjalan / berlari
Stabillitas adalah kemampuan untuk mengembalikan keadaan seperti semula setelah melakukan gerak, misal : setelah berlari cepat tubuh harus beristirahat untuk memulihkan tenaga kembali. Rangka Tubuh manusia dbedakan menjad tulang tengkorak, tulang anggota badan , dan tulang anggota gerak.

 A. Fungsi Rangka Tubuh 

 Fungsi Rangka antara lain tempat melekat otot otot rangka ; penompang tegaknya tubuh dan pemberi bentuk tubuh ; alat gerak pasif ; pelindung organ tubuh vital , antara lain jantung, paru paru , otak , dan mata ; dan tempat pembentukan sel darah merah 

 B. Jenis Tulang 
Jenis tulang penyusun rangka manusia terdiri atas tulang rawan dan tulang keras

1. Tulang Rawan 
Tulang Rawan (kartilago) bersifat lentur dan kenyal karena mengandung banyak zat perekat dan sedikit zat kapur. Tulang Rawan merupakan protein yang berperan dalam proses penyambungan tulang yang patah. Tulang rawan tidak mempunyai pembuluh darah. tulang rawan pada bayi dan anak anak umumnya lambat laun akan berubah menjadi tulang keras kecuali tulang rawan pada kuping, hidung , daun telinga , dan laring .
Namun tidak semua tulang berasal dari tulang rawan, misalnya tulang tengkorak. proses perubahan tulang rawan menjadi tulang keras disebut Osifikasi. sel tulang rawan disebut Kondrosit  yang dibentuk oleh kondroblast . Kondrosit terletak di dalam lakuna dan menghasilkan matriks atau zat sela yang disebut kondrin.  Jaringan Tulang Rawan dilindungi oleh selaput yang disebut Perikondrium. 
Tulang Rawan dibedakan menjadi 3 macam, yaitu ;
a) Tulang Rawan Hialin : tulang rawan dengan zat sela yang jernih dan transparan. Tulang rawan hialin terdapat pada dinding trakea ( tenggorokan ) , ujung tangkai dan lengan, persendian , dan antara tulang rusuk dan tulang dada.
b) Tulang Rawan Elastis : Tulang rawan dengan zat sela sedikit keruh kekuning kuningan dan mengandung serabut kolangen , serta bersifat lentur. tulang rawan elastis terdapat di hidung dan daun telinga 
c) Tulang Rawan Serabut/fibrosa : Tulang Rawan zat selanya keruh dan gelap, mengandung serabut kolagen, serta bersifat kuat tetapi kurang lentur. tulang rawan serabut terdapat di ruas tulang belakang
